Clinical Pharmacist sought for 4 sessions a week over Thursdays and Fridays at an established North West London (NWL) Practice with list size of ~13,000. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, friendly, supportive team with diverse range of patients.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Clinical Pharmacist required for 4 sessions a week at a forward thinking, high-quality training practice located 20 minutes away from central London. Premier Medical Centre is our main practice and we also provide medical care for students in the London area via our second brand, The Uni Doctor.
As a training practice we advocate continued learning and education, offering opportunities for learning, teaching, and mentoring. We are highly aware of the importance of this role within GP practices to help improve medicine management and health outcomes for patients. The role could include but is not limited to acute requests and prescription re-authorisations, hospital discharges, request for treatment letters from clinics, medication reviews, drug monitoring, medication optimisation activities, with the possibility of consulting on minor ailments and special interests.
Mentorship of the role will be provided by senior GPs and management team.
The role involves:
4 Clinical Sessions at Premier Medical Centre/ TheUnidoctor comprised of both telephone and in-person appointments where required
Emis system based records
Daily debriefs
Weekly clinical meetings
Regular team building days
Support for training and development

As a Clinical Pharmacist you will be working alongside our team of friendly and supportive healthcare assistants, doctors, clinical pharmacists, practice nurses, and dedicated administrative staff. We are known as one of the best teaching and training practices in the area and we believe that part of this success is down to a high standard of cohesive teamwork.
We have an excellent clinical administration support team and utilise cutting edge robotic process software to reduce correspondence, action daily tasks and test results, and handle prescription queries that would normally be sent to clinicians.
TheUniDoctor is our University brand where we offer on campus GP and HCA clinics at Middlesex University (with the hope of expanding). By offering this service we are able to reach out to the local community and provide care to a wide diaspora of patients from various different backgrounds. It also enables us to grow and develop continually by offering appointments in new ways, and allowing us to provide care where previously it may not have been easily accessible.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions
Be a registered pharmacist with relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC)
Have a passion for community Pharmacy and provide the best care for our local community
Have love of working collaboratively with a team-centered approach
Have excellent knowledge of Pharmacy operations and provisions of National and local services
Have good Understanding of how a Pharmacy operates under the NHS remunerative system
